LOUHE’s annual Tiedosta uusi mahdollisuus (“Discover New Possibilities”) event once again gathered leading Finnish security experts at Korjaamo, in Helsinki, to share insights on the evolving landscape of safety, learning, and technology. The event offered a rich mix of perspectives—from leadership and preparedness to aviation safety and anti-drone innovation.
The morning began with a keynote by Hannes Huotari, Co-Founder and CTO of LOUHE, who spoke about the learning organization as the foundation for resilient security. “If an organization embraces change with flexibility, it learns,” Huotari noted, drawing a parallel between human and machine learning. Just as LOUHE’s technology continuously improves through data, organizations grow stronger when knowledge is shared and silent know-how becomes visible.
Tiina Laisi-Puheloinen, a new member of LOUHE’s board, emphasized that security is first and foremost a leadership responsibility. She urged organizations to view preparedness as an investment in continuity, especially in an era of hybrid threats.
From Finavia, Samuli Juntunen brought an aviation perspective—where safety is not just a requirement, but a culture. Managing security at an airport the size of a small city demands coordination, communication, and constant adaptation. “Continuous change is the essence of aviation operations,” Juntunen remarked.
The event concluded with Tuomas Rasila, founder of Sensofusion and a pioneer in anti-drone technology, who discussed how drones and automation are reshaping the nature of conflict. As he observed, “The battlefield is becoming a competition between systems, not individuals.”
Reflections from Participants
Guests praised the event’s diversity of viewpoints and inspiring discussions, noting that the focus on broader themes rather than LOUHE’s own product created room for meaningful exchange.
Several attendees expressed interest in seeing even more real-world use cases and best practices in the future—illustrating how data-driven solutions like LOUHE’s support decision-making and everyday operations.
The atmosphere was described as refreshingly different and thought-provoking. Suggestions for next year included showcasing concrete business benefits and operational impacts.
Looking Ahead
LOUHE warmly thanks all speakers, partners, and guests for contributing to another successful event.
Tiedosta uusi mahdollisuus has evolved into a unique forum where Finland’s security and technology experts come together to learn, collaborate, and discover new possibilities—continuing to strengthen the connection between awareness, resilience, and innovation.
