Jonas Lundberg Appointed CEO of Louhe

At the beginning of September, Jonas Lundberg was appointed as the new CEO of Louhe. With more than two decades of experience in business, technology, and cybersecurity, Lundberg steps into the role with curiosity and a strong belief in the company’s potential.

“We see Lundberg as the right person to lead Louhe into its next phase of growth. His mix of entrepreneurial background, international experience, and people-oriented leadership is a strong match for where we are today and where we want to go next,” says Hannes Huotari, Chief Technology Officer and co-founder at Louhe.

A career shaped by technology and entrepreneurship

Lundberg describes himself as a naturally curious person with a strong interest in technology, something he believes drives the world today. With a major in leadership and management, and minors in IT and law, he moved into business and sales roles, all the while witnessing the rapid rise of the internet.

Coming from an entrepreneurial family, Lundberg had always seen the opportunities and challenges of building companies. This background eventually led him to co-found nSense, a specialized cybersecurity firm with a focus on security critical organizations. Over nearly a decade, he helped grow the company systematically, until it was acquired by F-Secure in 2015. Lundberg continued at F-Secure for six years, focusing, for example, on expanding new services into European markets.

In recent years, Lundberg shifted his focus to Liquido.vc, supporting early-stage startups with knowledge and experience. While this work was rewarding, Lundberg began to miss being directly involved in operations – a realisation that opened the door to Louhe.

First impressions and potential

Although the physical security sector was somehow new to him, Lundberg saw immediate similarities with cyber. Both are essentially about risk management, and both benefit enormously from technology-driven efficiency.

Lundberg was struck by how little the cyber approach has been applied to physical security. He sees clear opportunities to use technology to reduce risks and create efficiency, which immediately sparked his interest in the field.

After his first few weeks, Lundberg describes Louhe as a company where the key elements are already in place: a strong team, mature technology, and services that deliver measurable value to customers. The challenge now is not to fix what’s broken, but to sharpen the focus and define the right growth path.

“What convinced me was the combination of a highly skilled and competent team, strong supporters and advisors around the company, and a service already delivering clear value to customers. All the building blocks are here; now it’s about finding the right spearhead for growth,” Lundberg says.

Strategy, partnerships, and growth

For Lundberg, the coming phase is about making clear choices. Which markets to enter first, how to allocate resources, and which partnerships to deepen will determine Louhe’s next steps.

The initial focus will likely be on the Nordic countries, while exploring broader opportunities in Europe. In this journey, strengthening the partner ecosystem will be crucial. “Partnerships must always be win-win. With Louhe’s service, partners gain new capabilities and competitiveness, and in turn can offer more value to their customers. This is how we create long-term success together,” Lundberg emphasises.

In addition, Louhe is backed by a group of well-known and highly experienced investors and advisors. For Lundberg, they provide an important source of insight and perspective, and he sees great value in being able to turn to them when making strategic choices.

Leadership style and values

Lundberg brings to Louhe a leadership approach he describes as human-centered, curious, and optimistic. He does not see titles as the driver of authority, but rather understanding the market and involving the team in shaping the company’s direction.

“Everyone must be able to be themselves. Diversity should be embraced and turned into a strength. Trust and shared values keep us aligned. Personally, I value creativity, solving problems in new ways, as a key driver,” Lundberg summarises.

This philosophy, combined with his focus on customer and market perspective, shapes the way he intends to build Louhe’s culture: collaborative, innovative, and future-oriented.

Goals for the first year and beyond

Looking ahead, Lundberg wants the next twelve months to prove Louhe’s ability to stand on its own and accelerate growth. In Finland, that means becoming widely recognised and trusted. Internationally, it means securing new customers and building sustainable business through partners.

“In a year’s time, I want to see the business carrying itself and fueling further growth, that in Finland people know and talk about us, and that internationally we already have customers and business running especially through our partners,” Lundberg outlines.

Longer term, Lundberg sees Louhe’s competitive edge in its mature technology and the lasting value it delivers to customers. The first five years, as he puts it, were about building the foundation, and now it is time to construct on top of it.

Looking forward

As Louhe prepares to scale beyond its home market, confidence in the company’s direction is strong across the leadership team.

Louhe’s co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Hannes Huotari, is confident about this new phase: “Lundberg brings exactly the kind of operational experience and international perspective that Louhe needs at this stage. We have built a strong foundation during the past years, and with Jonas at the helm, I am confident we can turn that into sustainable growth and make our mark in the wider security industry.”
