Integrating LOUHE with Existing Security Infrastructure

Physical security has changed significantly in recent years, and LOUHE is at the forefront of transforming the industry with advanced data analytics. We offer solutions that utilise explanatory artificial intelligence enabling reliable decision-making, automation and secure data management, even in high-security environments. Our services are designed specifically for critical infrastructure and industries, where reliability and information security are paramount.

LOUHE’s Detect & Respond service offers an effective solution for managing the physical security of various facilities by combining information from different systems into one clear entity. The application allows organisations to improve their situational awareness and understanding of security without the need to invest in new and separate systems. Detect & Respond utilises existing devices and data sources in use by the company and enables better comprehensive monitoring and proactive response to potential risks.

Bringing All Security Data into a Single System

Traditionally, companies have several separate security systems in place, such as access control, alarm systems, fire detection systems, video surveillance and electromechanical locking solutions, each of which is monitored separately. With LOUHE, data from these different systems can be seamlessly integrated, enabling a comprehensive situational picture and efficient use of information.

For example, an event reported by an alarm system is combined with access control data, which allows us to see whether there has been movement in the premises temporally or physically near the alarm event.

One significant benefit of our application is that analytics become more accurate when data from different systems is brought together. With LOUHE, for example, an event reported by an alarm system is combined with access control data, which allows us to see whether there has been movement in the premises temporally or physically near the alarm event. This significantly increases the value of the data produced by the systems and enables faster and more accurate responses to exceptional situations.

LOUHE Ensures Secure and Seamless Connectivity

LOUHE has extensive experience with various systems and integrations – so far we have not encountered a case where integrating LOUHE’s application into the systems used by the customer would not have been possible. The Detect & Respond service can be implemented in many different ways, depending on the customer’s needs. In its simplest form, system data can be transferred via log files. In the longer term, real-time integration is recommended, for example using the source system’s API. If needed, data can also be transferred via a lightweight application running near the source system.

Cybersecurity and data protection are key priorities for LOUHE in the implementation of integrations.

“Cybersecurity and data protection are key priorities for LOUHE in the implementation of integrations,” says LOUHE’s Chief Information Officer Tero Takalo. Personal data is transferred only in pseudonymised format, and all solutions are implemented securely without compromising the source system’s information security. If direct access to the system could pose risks, the integration can be implemented as a database copy, from which the data is safely transferred to LOUHE’s application.

Effortless Implementation with Expert Support

LOUHE takes care of the deployment and integration of the Detect & Respond application – the process is very easy for the customer and does not require extensive resources or time. In practice, the integration is implemented in cooperation with either the customer’s technical personnel or the system supplier’s technical personnel. During the implementation phase, the customer mainly provides information about the systems in use and their accesses so that LOUHE can handle the actual implementation of the integration. The technical work of the integration takes a few days, of which LOUHE carries out the majority. It is advisable to allocate approximately two weeks for the full deployment of the Detect & Respond service.

LOUHE offers its customers technical support and expertise throughout the process, which makes the integration and deployment of the solution very easy. Our years of experience with various systems guarantee that every deployment is successful – not a single integration has been left undone because it could not be implemented technically.
